Enter the BIOS and set the primary video device to Off-board or Auto. It should already have been set to Auto, so plug the monitor into the video card.

I know thats not helpful.  :cookieMonster:

IcyGamma I didn't know you had a BitFenix Prodigy

Props to you that's the neatest case I've seen all year

I'm a mini-itx nut and I fell in love with the case instantly. Probably influenced by the Mac side of me as well, it resembles a Mac Pro somewhat.

I noticed you posted a photo of a white one. My build is far more humble, certainly no water cooling.

Can't wait to put it together. o3o

how do i enter the bios?

how do i enter the bios?
While it's running a POST, push either F2 or Delete.
If you have a monitor hooked up it should display which key.

OK i'm in
what do i change

ok i made PCI-E the primary
here are the connections i've made:
VGA from Monitor to Mobo
DVI from GPU to Monitor

the power situation with the GPU is weird
my PSU has 6pin power cables but theres a little cable connected next to the 6pin which is 2pin
so i figured this was a way to have one cable for 6pin and 8pin

When I reset after making the PCI-E slot primary, nothing changed. The GPU fans still aren't spinning, and the POST beeped once
EDIT: i reset again, the POST beeped only initially

Nobody answered this.
I'll go with the EVO. Remember that I might just overclock it a tiny bit.

the POST beeps are back up to two again

Good choice, I've seen really good reviews of that. Ticks the boxes for great performance and quality at a good price (apparently).

Plug everything in and see if it completes the POST successfully.

my dad forgeted with some cable and it started working. apparently it was very loose or something.

I am running windows 7 64-bit and it knows that I have 8GB of ram but its using only 3.99gb
how do I fix this? I went into msconfig and went into boot > advanced and system mem was unchecked. I googled this and found nothing helpful
