Also a little friendly warning--it's pretty much accepted by quite a few people (even diehard apple fans I've spoken to who have been side by side with Apple for 20+ years) that the Mac Pro lineup will be discontinued within the next 12-24 months.Apple already sized down its native pro application market dramatically (especially when they screwed up Final Cut Pro); a lot of the pro users switched to Adobe's Creative Suite which is obviously available on almost any platform. When the price difference between Mac's / PC's becomes known by the accountants the sales of the pro level stuff at Apple will dwindle very quickly. It doesn't matter about the few people who want to fork over the money for these abominations. Apple's strengths are making consumer grade throwaway products, not maintaining expensive pro-level software and hardware lineups.The old adage that Apple's products are necessary for 'creative types' to work properly is coming to a bitter end.
