Maybe invest in a i5 Processor

I got an i5-3570k for only $169 at microcenter. You have to pick it up though.

Mmm so much truth in this post.

Also a little friendly warning--it's pretty much accepted by quite a few people (even diehard apple fans I've spoken to who have been side by side with Apple for 20+ years) that the Mac Pro lineup will be discontinued within the next 12-24 months.

Apple already sized down its native pro application market dramatically (especially when they screwed up Final Cut Pro); a lot of the pro users switched to Adobe's Creative Suite which is obviously available on almost any platform. When the price difference between Mac's / PC's becomes known by the accountants the sales of the pro level stuff at Apple will dwindle very quickly. It doesn't matter about the few people who want to fork over the money for these abominations. Apple's strengths are making consumer grade throwaway products, not maintaining expensive pro-level software and hardware lineups.

The old adage that Apple's products are necessary for 'creative types' to work properly is coming to a bitter end.
Mmhmm.

i may hate apple stuff but I love the way the Mac Pro was designed.

it's sad that apple is probably going to discontinue the Mac Pro line in a year or so.

woah that's hot

Then you guys obviously haven't seen a MurderBox. Prepare your eyes for some hardware pr0n.

That white panel on the bottom glows a white light, kind of like a softbox light in a photography studio.

Yeah totally not absurd at all but dayum that's hot.

The case alone is $1200 :P

is the motherboard custom too? Wow.

I now have everything running, turns out I just forgot to plug this other power cord into the motherboard.

In fact I am posting this on the new comp. :D

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/v36U I need feedback again.

I like my Apple keyboard, and I don't feel like switching into a 1337 pr0 k3yb0ard until a key sensor stops detecting or when something else on it dies.
I don't need a Blu-Ray burner at this point.
I won't give up the GTX680 and downgrade to the GTX670, though!
