It's a weird number in terms of gained performance, for some games there will be a very small increase in FPS, but with others there is a very noticeable change. It doesn't get to twice the performance from what I've heard.
This. And I think AMD CrossfireX and NVIDIA SLI is usually meant for more monitors to run without putting the stress on a single card.

The point of SLI or Crossfire is not always to support multiple monitors. Most cards these days can support up to 3 or 4 if they want to. And most of the time if you want to have multiple monitor gaming it is highly preferred that you get one powerful card with plenty of VRAM instead of getting multiple less powerful cards.

There's like no stress added to a card with a second monitor. Unless you mean running games on multi monitors. The resolution doubles so of course it requires more power

Yep, sure is. I need to update it, but I'm in the process of doing a diploma, and a full time job which I just got at a computer store. stuff's hectic, but hopefully I have time to get around and revamp this stuff.

I can take over, Ethan. I've posted a new thread, if you feel like you want to lock this one by all means. I can manage it, I've got nothing to do :3

Is this a good buy? I'm looking for the best possible laptop for UNDER (not a penny over) $400. This is what I came up with, it beats everything on Newegg. Also, note I don't want Intell because of the low budget and I'm looking to play some newer games on this.

I'm going to buy a gtx660ti, but my PSU isn't enough, any good PSU's over 600 watts which are pretty cheap but good?

I'm using this PSU myself; http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-054-BQ&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1083

It's pretty good, hasn't given me any troubles in the year or so I've had it and it runs quiet

Thanks! I might get a PSU in the "BeQuiet" brand now, some of them look great. Like this one, obviously I can't get a cheap one which is decent, I guess you get what you pay for.

I just got this today, but newegg didn't ship my case I ordered on the same day on that day, so I'm not exactly able to give a real review of it.

OH MY GOD EVGA, IT'S A loving POWER SUPPLY.

its GAMING power

pro gamers only use gaming power to play games

I'm having an issue with going into sleep mode, and I believe it's my processor. On fairly CPU intensive program such as left 4 dead 2, it goes into sleep mode fairly often, but on a dual threaded arma 2, there is no going into sleep mode. On something like Modern Warfare 2, my computer started seizing up when I was hosting before going into sleep mode. Could this be a cpu problem?

That reminds me...

why would a pro gamer sponsor a power supply?  And why is this relevant?
