do you NEED a laptop? specifically a mac? because for those specs $1500 is absurd

It's not just the specs for which he's paying. There's also the excellent customer service and warranties and all that.

The Mac OS feels much nicer than Windows.
Also forget man 8GB of ram that's almost triple what I have.
What core is the processor?

What core is the processor?

It's an i5, so it's most likely quad-core.

Macs are fine for gaming. Bootcamp your favorite OS and it runs awesome.

Is there any way you could get a better processor because I feel like they can do better than a dual-core.
Other than that looks good and I'm jelly.

but why spend twice as much to get a mac (then add on $150+ for windows version whatever) if you plan on gaming?

Man it's not like we've said the OS several times.

You can port games over if you have the install discs. And a brain

The OS for gaming is handicapped. For work and everything other than gaming, it's a work of art.

But still pricey.

Apart from the fact that their video card might as well be non existent.

i don't see where people come from when they say macs are good for editing and all that other jazz. windows has adobe programs and the free alternatives which are usually just as good (if poorly laid out). the only i've noticed between mac editing programs and windows editing programs is that the mac is all shiny and is easier on the eyes.

Exactly. I have used an iMac in video production class, and it felt a million times smoother jumping to files and back than on a Windows machine.

if someone didnt already say this

please for the love of god AT LEAST  buy the RAM aftermarket and install it yourself. if youre going to buy an overpriced laptop AT LEAST save a bit of money that way.
