What. Almost everyone in Germany learns English in school... besides, the most logical thing would be to have it in Turkish, so at least they are making it compatible with the west. Also, I bet most people who go there for tourism are German.

go to one of these countries and you will encounter brits, scandinavians and germans:
cyprus
turkey
canary islands / mallorca (spain)

you will also find plenty of TV channels and magazines that are not in the country's native language, but in german or swedish

anyways, smoke stuff and drink appletea

The ottoman empire was a great and vast empire. If you really want to complain about an empire, take a look at the Roman empire, or hey, how about something worse like British colonialism.
