Author Topic: Screen capturing software help  (Read 524 times)

I need to know if there's a good screen recorder out there that doesnt bring my FPS to stuff (Fraps, most of the time), records sound (Fraps) but doesnt have stuff quality (Hypercam)
Basically, I want to know a good screen capturing software that runs easily on laptops, has good quality and can record sound

Disregard this post as i do believe that i am an idiot

fraps will have dramatically less system impact if you run it from a separate hard drive, or possibly a USB drive.

as far as other recorders, the only ones i can think of are extra screen capture pro (spoiler: it's stuff), gamecam, and x-fire.

ManyCam?
Does that allow me to record my screen and save it as a video file? I didnt know that

So I basically install fraps to my usb drive and run it from there? Thanks masked, vigilante!

Could always try the demo. I had it for a while I think.

I've used Camtasia Studio for recording some videos. DOSBox worked fine on my E7400, though more demanding games would've stuttered. It also incorporates a simple video editor.
