Apparently, someone is continuously DDOS attacking the server. It keeps suddenly slowing to a crawl, or glitching out, and then I get disconnected and have to wait like 10 minutes. Is it possible to trace and block whoever is doing this at this point?

The spawn town you have been working on could be moved into the current world quite easily. There are vast spots of pretty flat terrain near the natural spawn.

I like the terrain/layout of the town start i have, and the Avalon city can't really be moved. So I'm sorry, shouldn't have gotten too attached to a couple houses on a temp map. There will be more snow biomes.

Trifax, come to the actual server and look at our progress. We're all attached to this map, not just two of us. A bunch of people have set up homes and extensive mines. captain blue has already set up a Nether Portal. I have a grassy basement and a tunnel extending to bedrock, with a lit obsidian pool, a water pool I intersected, and a long branch tunnel going to an amazing lava cave system. We've put a lot into this, can't you find a way to get the city into this map? Please.

I have a grassy basement and a tunnel extending to bedrock, with a lit obsidian pool, a water pool I intersected, and a long branch tunnel going to an amazing lava cave system. We've put a lot into this, can't you find a way to get the city into this map? Please.

The whole point of minecraft is to do this over and over again. We're on the new map, new beginnings, you'll make something better. And now you'll actually be able to keep it.

I recommend the Derivation texture pack to people. Very good looking, although the wood looks a little....red tinted.

So everything near the spawn was griefed and burned.
Mini's house is .. well .. has a leak, Koopa's is window-less and the hanging city has one less house due to a fire.

I don't see the use of texture packs. Maybe if you're doing some specific recording, but otherwise there's no benefit to seeing the world in a way only you can see.
