Why is the map changing next week? Can't it wait until 1.2 so everything syncs up, instead of 1.2 coming out like a week or two later and everyone being like "We JUST got reestablished, so no, we won't have new stuff yet."

I believe we're waiting until 1.2 to change the map, hence 'sometime'

That actually won't work. Jeb specifically said worlds generated before 1.2 won't generate Jungles. I talked to a guy who has a biome mapper for Minecraft, and he discovered Jeb inserted special code to split generation like this. Basically, if a world was created before 1.2, it will never generate Jungles. Only worlds specifically made in 1.2 or the snapshots for it and above will get it.

I honestly don't think Ike cares. If he wants jungles, he can plant saplings. It would be MORE of a hassle making it where it can generate jungles, because you have to get rid of all the trees.

You know little to nothing about Jungles, do you? Let alone Desert Wells and all. Just understand you're oversimplifying the matter.
