I respect the soldiers but I despise the generals and executive powers that give the orders. They should be trying to make societal changes that would render the military obsolete. The fact of the matter is, we are not born evil and very few things are actually genetically determined. Our environment is responsible for our behavior and thus the structure of our genome itself. The sad thing is, we have created a society where maleviont behavior is sometimes carried out.

Vietnam made sense, as South Vietnam didn't stand a chance (and now SV does not exist), however, the generals were dumbasses. The USA probably could have won if we had stopped richarding around.

They did exactly what they were told to do. Besides, we left south Vietnam with a massive army, and when the Vietcong came south Vietnam dropped their guns and ran. America didn't lose the war South Vietnam did.

I'm unsure about where all the money in the military budget goes specifically, but I know that our military budget is at least five times of the next highest, which is China. Since the invasion of our country is highly unlikely I think we should reduce the size of our standing army and sell more excess arms to friendly democratic countries.

We're already being invaded by China. No maybe not with the military, with product.
