wonderful, another military thread by our local know-it-all assbeef.
gg

of course i have respect for the military of this country. more respect than anything else.
they're the only thing in the country that doesn't suck.

I don't really regard military as heroes most of the people that join the military are just doing it for a safe and guided career where they don't have to make their own decisions, or are social rejects or criminals that are desperate for employment. I don't have any statistics of course but I think it is a very very very small portion that actually want to protect and help. I remember on Discovery Channel there was a doctor who had his own practice and had millions of dollars and joined the war to become a medic and help the Iraqi people that guy is noble and a hero.

They die for other's freedom. However, they need to stop picking fights with whoever the forget they want too. Vietnam made sense, as South Vietnam didn't stand a chance (and now SV does not exist), however, the generals were dumbasses. The USA probably could have won if we had stopped richarding around.

Afghanistan... how the forget will the USA win? Why did we go in there? The guys on top are always the issue, not the grunts getting shot at.
Oh gosh "Vietnam made sense"
Not even close
We should have never been involved.
It was a totally pointless war and we got beat up pretty good

I respect people in the military and military leaders. My dads in the Air Force

people are still effected today by the chemicals we sprayed and people still die from landmines that never blew up.

I think they're doing great things by killing those terrorist bastards and establishing democracy across the globe

I myself want to join the Marines or Rangers as some form of designated marksman, but of course my parents won't allow it :p

When I get out of highschool I'll be going to Airborne and hopefully Ranger school

I don't respect the modern military as much as the older ones, but above all, I disrespect the AMERICAN military. I love the People's Liberation Army and most other country's.
