If you don't shoot them, you won't. Other than that you occasionally pull them out of the car at gunpoint, or kick them, or pull them over your head. I sometimes aim towards them and if they begin to drive away I shoot.

I like to fire rockets at people after I take their cars.

But no you don't have to shoot them.

I presume you're asking because of parental concerns.

yep. But now my mom says I can't get it because when you buy the game it gives money to the producers. It's just some stuff that sucks. I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD!

buy it used, if it's pre-owned the producers get nothing

when you watch a TV show it gives money to the producers, when you pay for a movie ticket you give money to the producers, ect.

Honestly if your mom is that concerned about it, I don't think you'd get away playing this game for long.
