Yeah, I don't mind English too much, because I like the reading and I like the discussion in class, and surprisingly I like poetry (which is what we're working on recently).
But US History is an entirely different matter. Normally I enjoy studying history, and it's cool to learn about stuff that happened in the past (I'm mostly interested by the technological advancements of the 20th century, but anyway...). This is my homework due Wednesday/Friday. In addition we have a little 4 page packet to read and there's questions for that too, and we have to make a chart.

Now, I know for a fact some of you older guys here are going to be like "this is easy, get used to it, this is school, deal with it, friend". But hear me out, because I recognize that and I'm not really complaining. I'm just trying to say: This is a waste of my goddamn time. There are better ways of teaching someone about a historical topic besides crushing them with textbook work, which is boring as forget. Unfortunately, it's how schools work and I've learned to just deal with it. So no need to tell me to just suck it up, I am already. But have any of you guys felt frustrated with how school works before? Most kids just hate the work, but I feel that i want to learn the knowledge. And the way they think to teach us the material is horribly boring and ineffective. It doesn't get kids engaged, it makes them hate school.
