Author Topic: "Majority of Youth want Macs, not PCs" Very sad  (Read 6845 times)

Wow, you Windows fanboys sound like worse friends than Apple fanboys.

Mac is a fine computer, and serves the needs of a student just fine.

The Mac OS is far better than windows.
I'll be expecting some handicapped insults because people here are gamers and that is not the Mac's strong point so they'll deem it a piece of stuff.
having used mac OS my whole life and switching to win7 half a year ago
i see nothing that mac OS beats windows at.

except the "being affordable because students are dirt poor" part.

Why do you even care what consumers decide to buy, like PC is so great and righteous. You are just as stupid as those who fight over which religion is right. Enjoy your PC, let others enjoy whatever they want to buy.

I love you.

GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE

This article talks about Apple's marketing strategy (one that supposedly sucks kids in while they're in a vulnerable state of being or some stuff) and implies how atrocious and horrible it is.

News for them: Thousands of companies do this, and Apple is by far one of those companies least guilty of sucking in tweens to get their loyalty forever. All of their products are aimed at the average person; one who appreciates simplicity, and an easy access to everything they need to do. Apple isn't all up in your face about how many games you can play, how cool you'll look if you have an Apple product, it's just a shape of our culture today. That's what kids are drawn to. And that WILL change eventually, but this article sounds faintly butthurt. As though the writers of the article feel sore that Apple is taking that loyalty, and masking that feeling with one of immature hatred.

Living with two sisters who have MacBooks, iPads and iPhones, I've see all the fancy hardware first hand, and it looks far nicer than anything I've see Windows ship out.

Now or course I don't have a Mac because I still play games and can't afford a $1000.00 computer but both of my sisters had jobs and finished university, they now have jobs in London.
Because they use it for work more than play, they can drop the need for a flashy graphics cards and focus on function and apps/programs more than specs.

Now I'm not saying you can't work on a PC, it's just that I've seen stuff done on both. When Vista was the new thing everyone loved, my sister had a desktop with it. It was really bad and crashed tons of times. She's had her current laptop for ages with no problems as far as I know.

Then again to sum things up this is all a personal preference and all I can do is debate whether one is better and in my opinion a Mac is, though that is my opinion and I can't force that on you.

here goes the "Personal computer vs Personal computer" war again

Yes.

The funny thing is most people on Blockland are only pro-PC because its what they were first exposed to as a platform, or its what computer their family bought which they use.

Because Microsoft is more popular? No, because its cheaper and there are so many companies building them so its far easier for the common person to come across the PC when shopping for a computer, than it is a Mac.

The point? Very few people that ever comment on these type of threads have any reliable knowledge of both platforms to comment.
