Kids at my school buy an iPod or iPhone just for the game apps, and NOTHING more. Not even music, it's sad.

Well, I did some research a few days ago and discovered that buying a Mac version of my new, soon-to-be custom-built computer would have cost me just under $6,000. I got the components for around a sixth of that price.

No one can get around the simple fact that you pay more for less in exchange for simplicity when you get a mac. If you don't need simplicity and can work a windows computer and never break them or never get viruses like me there is not a single advantage to buying a mac. In terms of performance and capabilities microsoft PCs are provably superior. Macs do kind of intrigue me as I am a technology freak and just like messing with different things but I will never pay more for less because that is a stupid thing to do.

This is true.
But what about assembling?
It assembles into a racing car which can hit 175 MPH while looking pretty and you can customize it and paint it in any way you can. It's also well known to be very hard to drive.
But parts for the entertainment section of the car is limited.

Guys, it's literally just a matter of preference. I would never buy a mac for personal use over a windows and that is purely because of preference. They're both PCs. You act as if there's a major difference in performance between the two systems and that anyone that uses a mac is unintelligent and/or misguided, when they are blatantly not.

I have a custom made Mac and that is why I love them. simple made for gaming and crap.

Mac has a little something also called Bootcamp Assistant that allows you to partition your harddrive and run Windows software.

You don't have to worry about those things if you get Windows to begin with, derp

I have a windows laptop thats mine at my dads. My mom bought an apple at her house that can't run stuff. But when I need to use the computer at her house I use that mac unless my laptop is at my moms. But overall forget mac windows everyday
