Toothpaste? Proactive?

Try to get the front hair away from your fore head because I have a similar problem and letting your fore head breath would help in the later days of acne.

I never got acne very bad, and often it'd be hidden under my hair or not very visible / prominent. Lucky I guess. I feel sorry for people who get it really, really bad and their face looks all rocky and ends up scarred. Just be thankful you don't have it like that LOL.

Does that stuff do anything?

Other than clog up your pores and cause more? I doubt it.

These responses mean you have never used Proactiv, or any other acne medication before.

Acne medication generally comes in lotions and face washes.  You rub it on your face, you rinse it, you pat dry.  Or for some you can leave it on overnight.  The strength varies on the active ingredient and how much in percentage is in the lotion.  Some can cause bleaching of cloth items, some won't.  Read the labels.

The main goal of the kind of acne medicine that I just described is to basically dry your skin in order to remove any oil that does clog up your pores and cause acne.

You can also take antibiotics but those are really only needed for and probably given to people who have serious cases.
