Until fairly recently, music has played a VERY minor part in my life. However, within the past year I've discovered a vast sea of glorious sounds that make me believe that mankind has not wholly failed as a species.

However, I have also encountered a barrage of stinging filth mucking up the works. Noise that I would vomit out of my stomach if it were food. Noise that makes me want to purge my eardrums.

The question I would like to raise to you, the average blocklander, Has music improved or crashed and burned within the last century?

I don't want to hear any "Sinatra was amazing!" (Truer words never spoken) or "Lady GaGa FTW" (makes me shudder), however examples are welcome as long as you do it somewhat as I will in a minute. I just want to know if music has ascended or crashed and burned within the last 100 years. I want no talk of styles, just wether it's gotten better or declined.

Music has gone down the toilet. Sinatra, Simon and Garfunkel, Rock and Roll -Those are beyond greatness. Rap, hip-hop, Beiber, GaGa -Not worth the air they breathe.      That's about what i'm looking for.

Michael Jackson is not stupid!

:C

Metal, rock and roll, grunge, 90's alternative, and some techno are the only genre's I haven't yet lost faith in.

Music is an amazing thing. There's plenty of good music being produced in this century aswell (Along with all the stuffe)

Ayreon - E=MC2 < Great Song made this decade. Check out his other stuff aswell, it's progressive rock/metal.

its gone down the tubes. well pop has at least.

I came.

music died when the new millennium began

Metal and Techno is really what I only listen to.
Pop, rap, and country makes me grind my teeth.

Music has crashed and burned

We didn't have Justin Bieber until now

I see the problem...
Your toilet has a shocky thing in it.

But seriously folks, this era we live in is full of noise throw up.
The only good "pop/techno" artist I can think of is a YOUTUBER for crying out loud!
Where has our world gone?

there's still good music

but much less

Pop, rap, and country makes me grind my teeth.
and opera and all that

also, I can't stand it when techno or something else is playing in the background of a pop/rap song and the mainstream wiggers call it pop or something
