Nobody likes their favorite thing to be changed

I just picked up Shallow Bay - The Best of Breaking Benjamin.

Seems pretty great.  I only had two BB songs before but I think I'm digging it.

The quality of pop music was significantly better back in my day, this is true. I would listen to the radio from the 90's any loving day over the radio we have now. Other than that I think it's a pretty stable scene. Genres are moving forward, sub-genres are developing, production quality is rising thanks to new and more abundant resources. Overall I'm okay with music, I keep finding new and great bands that continue to impress and envelope me. I just ignore all the mainstream, made for money bullstuff and I'm just fine.

1) Foo Fighters is righteous

2) stuntman, the artists should make more tasteful music if the understad that music can influence peoples actions.
If they go to jail, why would they continue to endorse that bullcrap?  It is really stupid

music cannot influence people's actions and anyone who says that is the dumbest person

Some kid killed his mom and himself.  During crime investigation, they found a CD in his stereo upstairs in his bedroom with a song about that very thing.

A) What Morning said, I remember that, it's true
B) Everything I come across that's "modern" is full of swears, love, and just plain crap
C) Rule of Thumb: If you can't whistle with the lyrics, and keep the beat by snapping, it's not that good
D) If you look at the graph I posted at the start, you can see ragtime at the start: low, The greatest things to come to music mid 50's to mid 70's or so: epicly high, and lastly, anything made since then: down the toilet.

As to being under 15, what of it? At 14 I'd figured out how general relativity could be used to time travel without breaking the laws of physics (namely going above light speed). So if at 14 I could do that, whose to say someone half the person I was wouldn't know something about music, and be able to give a vlid opinion over it's decline/ascent?

Only stupid people who aren't sane take direct action from what they heard/saw from:
A movie
A video game
A song
A TV show

Seriously think about it, would anyone whose completely mentally healthy do that regardless of what song was playing?  No, that is ridiculous, that kid obviously had some issues.

Boston made me jump off a bridge.
this is the best post

Bump.

Stuntman, please stop posting your thoughts here, it is turning into a flame war about how music is now trashy or not.
I do agree with some of your points and respect the rest, but you are getting bothersome.
