How do I install a ship in Star Trek: Bridge Commander?

I... have the game patched to 1.1. I have the (epic) Kob...something mod installed but thr ships do not appear in-game.

I can not find a youtube guide or a dedicated modding forum so I decided to come here.

Disable the KOB mod.
