Author Topic: Mushy need IL-2 mods!  (Read 1080 times)

Soooooo. I tried posting in the IL-2 megathread but it seems too dead to be of any help. I asked Battlebrain but he doesn't know how. I'm too lazy to ask a bunch of other people. So why not.

I have IL-2 1946 from steam. I upgraded it to version 4.10.1 and I want the Plutonium Max Effects mod, a sound mod and maybe a mod to add in some WW1 aircraft. I'm sure I could do this, but steam causes complications. So. Does anyone know how to install these? And I would also like people to show me to a sound and WW1 mod if possible.

WWI plane pack
Realistic and more FPS friendly tracers
More features for map
Jet planes and weapons pack

If you want more mods just browse though the Special Aircraft Service and All Aircraft Simulations forums, As well as Mission4Today (Although M4T is more geared towards skins and missions)

As for installing mods it varies depending on what mod activator you're using.

Well, I got the SAS mod activator, I don't think it works for steam though. Could you recommend me one?
Edit - and I had looked at the WW1 plane pack you suggested, but the download link is broken.

The SAS mod activator is just way too complicated to DL and use, I could use another as well.

I figured. So then what's a better one?

SAS ModAct
Read the goddamn instruction PDF.
It's a separate download.

Ooooh. That's where they are.

Okay. So I read (most of) the SAS modact instructions thingy, but how to install mods was boring and confusing. Could someone tell me how to do it in a very simple manner? Using the 1956 mod as an example?

um
no simple way to explain it really

I tried installing that 1956 to the best of my abilities and it seemed to do nothing.
As per the instructions, I extracted it into my IL-2 base, putting it into the #sas folder. I did some stuff with .sfs files or something but I don't know.

Bumps from second page again.
