Author Topic: What do YOU think of the Occupation in Wallstreet?  (Read 1977 times)

uhh
i've never actually heard what this is supposed to be about.
They are mad 1% of the people have more money then 99% of all other people.

They're all stupid, so no.
Aha, not at all, really.

Maybe you'd understand if you cared about monry atm.
Haha, it's such a coincidence 90% of the occupy people here are either workless or immigrants.
Really.

They are mad 1% of the people have more money then 99% of all other people.
oh.
this is not relevant to my interests.

everyone attending these should be shot arrested and convicted without trial

it isn't a crime to be wealthy and successful (unless the way you went about it is). if you're mad about someone having more money than you go get a loving job

You clearly have no loving clue what ows is about.

"Occupy Wall Street is a people-powered movement that began on September 17, 2011 in Liberty Square in Manhattan’s Financial District, and has spread to over 100 cities in the United States and actions in over 1,500 cities globally. #ows is fighting back against the corrosive power of major banks and multinational corporations over the democratic process, and the role of Wall Street in creating an economic collapse that has caused the greatest recession in generations. The movement is inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, and aims to expose how the richest 1% of people are writing the rules of an unfair global economy that is foreclosing on our future."

Wow, you guys are so misinformed.
get a loving job
The 99% protestors have jobs.

It's funny because you used that word wrong.

I live in New York. Sorry.

Oh wait.

I don't care about the protests or the protesters that actually know what they're talking about. If you looked at the link I posted, you'd know why. It's in the same post for a reason.

Incredibly stupid. Half of them didn't know what they were protesting.

Oh man you don't even loving know what you're TALKING about.

ARGH THE IGNORANCE IN THIS THREAD IS MIND-NUMBING.

I think this may be neat. It's like a communist revolution!

theyre doing a stuffty job lol

They need a more central leadership, it seems. That's why a number of people see them as foolish - They have no real body representing them. Granted, that may be the point, but electing delegates to oversee the assembly and appointing some folks to reform the conditions they are protesting under may not be a bad idea. Why they already have a direct democracy sort of thing going on, I think a little alignment and focus could only aid them in their venture.
