The point is that it is extremely unnecessary to text while driving. It is 5-10 minutes, and I honestly believe it won't kill you if you miss a message that is only 5 characters long.

I know, that is still correct, however it's not as hard for some people as they make it out to be.

And with a little practice, you can text without looking at the screen.

I would be more worried over the fact you just announced you have no insurance on an internet forum. I don't know the laws in the US but if it were in the UK and if somebody were to report you on this forum to the police then they would find ways of bringing justice.
