Author Topic: My dad is a huge jerk.  (Read 5693 times)

I like how everyone is saying "YOU OWN IT BECAUSE ITS YOUR MONEY EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT AN ADULT" when they don't know that Legally his father does in fact own it because you cant own anything yourself until you are independent. Of course, he is still a huge ass

Simple way of solving your problem
1) Go get a HTC Phone
2) Realize it's faster, it has a better camera and has all the features the iPhone has + more
3) Take a bath
4) Sue your dad for 200$ in robbery.
5) use that money to bail out your day
6) Go on with life - with your new android phone
7) Do this all on your android phone
8) Realize that your android phone can do it and your iPhone can't, why? simple because Apple is a miserable fail to create a distro on Debain 9.
9) Deal with it.

just skip the trouble and get an android

java and flash woo hoo

That's not the issue is it?

He took something you bought as if it were his anyways.

Even if legally that's okay, that's a terrible thing for a father to do.

Especially something like that.

Honestly, you are entitled to everything you spent your own money on. The US government doesn't recognize this, but what's yours is yours.

Go on and call me an anarchist now if you want. I can't say I blame the government for not giving kids the same rights as adults, it makes a lot of sense if you look at it the right way, but I value moral entitlement to your own possessions above the law.

Despite this, your parents are still permitted to take your stuff.

My point: Don't just sit around and do nothing about this just because your dad is legally allowed to take something that's yours.

Steal Iphone, Smash it. return iphone

if i had essentially wasted 200 dollars. i would figure i had nothing to lose then.
*wink

i think its obvious what OP should do.

If you made the money through an "allowance" or "birthday money", and all that dumb stuff, it's not your item if you used that money for it.

If you actually worked and made a living and bought your stuff, then you can call it "yours"

This, that and the other thing.

It's idiot hardcore fanboys like you that make me hate people. Android vs. iPhone isn't a discussion for this thread, it has no place here: the issue is not in him getting an android vs. getting an iphone. Deal with the fact that people actually like both, and people use both.

It's MY money. I dont have a job.
you just contradicted yourself
I assume the money was gotten from an allowance of sorts?

Odd-jobs, most likely. If it's an allowance, there's still no justification in what his dad did. The allowance meaning the money is given to Ziyek. It is his, and no longer his dads. It doesn't matter if it was initially his dad's, it was given to him and spent as Ziyek wanted it spent.
