clean out your ears and that wouldn't happen
or as a better solution, get something that isn't earbuds
earbuds suck amazingly high amounts of richard
they are horrible in terms of sound without exception
they are uncomfortable 99% of the time, and the other 1% of the time they look dumb as forget
Mine are pretty comfortable, but with other ones they just fall out too much. I think that my earbuds just set in my ear fine. I can turn my head completely sideways and they won't fall out. (that's not because of the ear wax you motherforgeter dont even think that)
But, like in OP, I will probably get headphones, and when my mom blows her cash on an iPhone 4S I will jack the headphones.

klipsch ones are VERY good
i have them and they handle bass VERY well, are comfortable, and they carry around easily. also they cover all spectrums of music very well.
I've actually been listening to dubstep with earbuds that have little bass because I like how the song sounds. Is that weird?
I googled klipsch and the cheapest S4 ones appear to be $40. Now, S2 is around 20$ on ebay. Do you use S4, S2, or what? Do these stupid numbers even matter?
