Waiting for the bus...I didn't expect such an inspirational story, but I don't understand why the bus just...exploded at the end.
It was a brick joke. The entire story was just to draw you away from the man saying if he stopped going more than 55 mph, the bus would explode. The joke later returns with the punchline. Which is, of course, the bus explodes.
