Author Topic: What if Badspot started selling 5 dollar full game trial keys?  (Read 4064 times)

Blockland, as a game, has Super Admins?
I mean like Badspot, Ephi, Rotondo & Kompressor
They got low id's, right?

why are people thinking of 5$ trials.
you shouldn't have to pay for a trial.

The people are thinking for Badspot

being lenient to piracy is an indirect yet effective marketing tool.

It allows players to use the game, but not all of it's features. After all, pirated copies of Blockland cannot access Blockland's internet capabilities because of the authentication system. Soon enough, owners who pirated the game would most likely purchase the game for it's internet capabilities and other various features that require ownership.

Markus Pearson, the creator of Minecraft, is lenient on his opinion on piracy.

I'm not saying we should promote pirating; It's still a bad thing, but we should keep in mind that these are only potential customers. nothing was stolen from badspot except for his potential profit.

Such as JVS checking up allowed lists? It would create errors. Do you think that idea of adding zeros to the start of their IDs is good?
Because they're still numbers, it still wouldn't work unless people changed it to compare $= rather than ==.
Also, nice Elmo Ao Oni.
Thanks I drew it myself.

it prob will be 5 bucks for the full blockland, about 2 months before blockland2 comes out.
you know, cram in a few new people to hype the franchise so to brand name the sequel a little.

uhh what.

internet capabilities and other various features that require ownership.
there are others?

The free demo is fine but it has a limited amount of bricks and no online support so it's kind of harder for the person to decide whether to get Blockland or not.
To be honest, I think a person is more likely to buy the game before they have online mode and realize how bad all the servers are  :cookieMonster:

It's an extra process to remove the zero. What would make the game do that of it's own? Try it.

Edit:

Well forget. Back to square one.

SO if Badspot's ID is 0 then the echo would cause an infinite loop?

echo("04" $= "4");

you guys have no clue what you're talking about

echo("04" $= "4");

You're very confrontational today, completely missed what we are talking about. We want to consider away this could work without having to rebuild nearly every single Add-On to work with it. Of course that would work, but we're talking about compatible IDs, not how the Add-Ons identify them.

read the whole block of chat you skipped dumbass
Lol.
I read it all you talked about was Markus's stupid view on piracy and what not.
From what I'm understanding you're saying that nothing was stolen from Badspot... except the money that he was gonna make if people actually bought the game.
Gee what a handicapped post.
