What you appear to be arguing, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that by accepting that violence is not acceptable we will become more violent.
This makes no sense at all.
The
American mafia, having started when the United States tried to suppress alcohol, one of the societies desired necessities, is a crime organization that is based off of violence. Alcohol and Violence are two different things, sure, but suppressing anything completely leads to an outburst of disapproval.
...like, tightly sealing a bottle full of air, then giving the outside of the bottle a constant stream of pressure until it breaks.
Now, to correct you slightly... I am not claiming that we, as a human society, would EVER fully "Accept" anything. So, therefore, if we simply found a state of being where our society retained a status of not having any violence for anyone, men, women or biloveual(?), we would eventually begin to act aggressive towards one another with less of a cause than we may currently require. (Ignore the people who walk around at night looking for a fight.)
Also, remember, that violence was used throughout history as a way of controlling people. Either it lead to rebellion (Violent in nature), or it caused extreme tension amongst the people.
