Uuu I didn't like either of those animes. But good for ya'll getting something you want. I guess I have horrible taste and decision making skills.

Tried watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and I didn't like it because the artstyle.

Started Magi and Shinsekai Yori and I like them both so far.

So I had a friend over, and we started watching Magi together (He's read the manga) and I'm hooked. I also need to get around to reading the SAO light novels.

Friend told me geass was silly. Never watched it myself, but I'm not a fan of shonan style or super robots.

It's not Super Robot at all. Super Robot is Gurren Lagann or Mazinger or Ideon or something like that. The mechs in Code Geass are definitely Real Robot.

As for the shonen part, can't argue with that. The character designs are the least of your concerns, though, especially if you're watching the god-awful second season.

I have yet to meet someone that actually doesn't hate the Plot Armor Jesus mary sue character (brown townogous to Kira Yamato), Suzaku.
