They did end it but I'm not sure if the anime is done yet.

The anime is done, the manga is still going.

Yes, in fact it's better than Bleach.

and then you'd realize that everyone has extreme loving problems and you wish you never made that wish

a couple days ago i watched baka to test S1/2 and kissxsis, what else should i watch

and clannad is boooring

and then you'd realize that everyone has extreme loving problems and you wish you never made that wish

and then the bodyswitch arc ends and you end up doing stupid stuff because your brain tells you to.

Need some help from a Fullmetal Alchemist veteran.

I've never watched Fullmetal Alchemist (a terrible crime I know) but it seemed like a really good series and one that I'd enjoy. I read that Brotherhood is just a more manga-accurate version of the original series (and considered a lot better by many) so I decided to watch it. I started watching the first episode and I noticed that the main characters already have this huge reputation and are ultra-skilled in the field of alchemy ("No alchemy circle!" or whatever the forget the guy says). I felt like I was missing something and didn't want to run into any spoilers just in case so I went and started watching the first episode of the original series and it starts with the whole story of what happened when they were kids (I already knew, but hadn't seen the actual scene) so now I'm confused. Does FMAB pick up after FMA? Or partially through FMA it branches off into FMAB? Or does it assume that if you're watching FMAB you already know what happened and doesn't explain it until later if at all?

tl;dr -- Should I be watching FMAB before anything else?

You shouldn't watch either as they are both terrible, but for your question FMA and Brotherhood are essentially different series. From the Wikipedia article, "Unlike the first anime, which had its own original story, the second series follows the story of the manga."

I watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica over the weekend and was highly unimpressed by the show. The characters were boring and the plot was stupid, especially when the explanation for why the magic girls were created comes around. Typical overhyped crap that people wet themselves over because of some apparent mindforget factor to the story. Though bad, the plot was easy to follow and there was no mindforgetery.

In the origional, the details are in their own episodes.

You'd have to watch the origional FMA to follow Brotherhood, but it doesn't really make a difference which you watch first.

my cousin detest all anime except for FMAB

and i don't even like action anime that much. bring on the gags!
