Yeah, i can understand what you mean. Personally I like the concept of the story, though if you have watched accel world which was made by the same person, it is put together way better.

I didn't particularly like sword art online. I enjoyed the first episode until the main villain showed up and twisted my gut in a knot. I don't know why, maybe I was in a bad state of mind to watch it at the time. If there was some sort of problem with the system instead of deliberate interference from the creator I think I would have enjoyed it much more.
