Anime and Manga Megathread

I've only been watching action/fantasy/scifi/adventure animes but I would like to try something new. Can someone suggest me a good drama or other (not any of the genres mentioned before) type animes to me? I've been avoiding slice of life animes because the synopses sound very boring. Something shortish (~30-60 eps) would be good, I'm not in the mood for Bleach type monsters.

Out of all the series I've seen Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World stands out like a sore thumb but I loved every episode of it.

I know this one short series that has 72 episodes that is a mecha scifi that is serious(except for two annoying characters).

it isnt 100% focused on the drama aspect, but there is a surprisingly large focus on dramatics and there is a lot of sad scenes
i cried like 5 times

you will wind up having to go subbed eventually, as dubbed stops less than half way in.

The Funimation dub stops halfway or the 4kids dub? Funimation started dubbing it again after 4kids stopped and I'm sure Funimation got quite far.

I think you can buy up to episode 229 dubbed by Funimation and theyre still going.

There's definitely drama in the latter half of the series, though admittedly the ending is horribly done. If you're wondering why they all have guns, it takes place in the afterlife. Believe what you want, but Angel Beats! has both drama and comedy elements.

switching through channels and found the bad ending to ore no playing
didnt know there were any free channels here that showed anime, but ive got a feeling ill be watching it a lot more :)
