Even while watching with friends, it's still bad. The character designs are great, but everything else... Bleh.
The OVA was boring as forget, but they could have built on it slightly and made it better. There's a lot to be explained and any "themes" I see in its story are pure speculation because it's so vague. The series was ok for the first episode or two before both whatsherfaces went yandere. It was all downhill from there.
I'm pretty sure everyone has to experience seeing all the cool clips from the show in AMVs and stuff and then actually watching the anime.

Gargantia is good, but it has two fanservice episodes in a row that I didn't really like (the second one I actually completely disliked).
Railgun S is a second season.
Majestic Prince is starting to pick up, but is more on the comedic side of things. Mech designs are ok, characters are actually somewhat likable as you watch more of the series, but the beginning isn't great.
Valvrave is a trainwreck of writing but it's still pretty entertaining. Don't take it seriously.
Maou-sama is pretty good, but it's almost the end of the series and I hope they can wrap it up properly.
HenNeko is standard perverted comedy JC Staff fanfare. Not bad, pretty dumb, hilarious.
Devil Survivor is actually pretty bad. I don't think they can do anything related to SMT in 12 episodes. Even Persona 4 had trouble with its 24 episodes.
Nyaruko W is also a second season.
Oreimo S2 is Oreimo S2.
Yahari Ore Gairu is one of the better ones this season imo, it's got a nice balance of comedy and drama.
Every episode of Aiura is 4 minutes long. Not counting the OP, that's 3 and a half minutes with 10 seconds of ED that cuts into a scene. Voice acting is mediocre and it's slice-of-life in every essence of the word. Not too bad, but not good either.
