i'd like to know why you think it was dissapointing
Almost the entire episode (everything except Titan Eren flailing his arms at Titan Annie and missing 80% of those swings) was buildup, and I'm seriously getting sick of entire episodes consisting of buildup in this show. it's not a bad show at all, but it's got some problems and this is one of them.
I'm not sure if I've made this comparison before, but the way the series has cliffhangers pretty much every single episode is reminiscent of LOST during its run.
Also Eren got his ass whooped and I dunno if that's funny or enraging.
I have a hard time watching modern Anime. Too many shortcuts and laziness in the art and animation department. I prefer hand drawn traditional animation and colored with paint. While Flash is quicker and easier along with 3D animation to animate vehicles, it however does not looks good and makes the animation awkward.
When series have actual budgets in their animation (e.g. Code Geass for the most part, Gargantia minus CG), the computer animation isn't that bad. When you get SHAFT or JC Staff to animate something, quality will be good for 3 episodes, then drop to "bearable" for the majority of the series, going up in more intense scenes and dropping during fillers.
