definitely the best arc, the one following it wasn't too bad either but this current one is meh.

SnK gets exponentially better as time goes on. Some of the earlier scenes are meh but some of the later arcs will have you enthralled. It's too bad the animation studio is taking a two year break before season two of SnK.

Well, it's Production I.G. - they've got tons of stuff to work on. Ghost in the Shell Arise, the Patlabor live action, etc.

Because you can only build up so much, eventually all the pressure has to be released and flow into the next thing to build up. It is a lame tactic in media to keep people because all it does is make people keep watching it so they can finally see what happens next. Think of your average soap opera where you finally want to see the baby be born, but instead they would rather do something else and they keep trying to build up the hype for really long time. It's like the Marble Hornets thing, they just keep throwing mysteries at you so you stay interested and watch them more. If anything it is your average shonen.
