Hotd is like kill la kill, it doesn't take itself seriously.
I mean sure everything is mindless fanservice, and some of it at very bad times, but it doesn't try and hide behind a makeshift plot or pretend that it is an anime with fanservice added, when it is just fanservice but stuff happens in the background.
It was fun to watch imo, though anyone that liked it definitely didn't watch it for the zombies.

Yeah I guess. They're good for watching when you just don't want to think at all and just wanna see things blow up and tits fly everywhere.

But HotD should've done its fanservice better. Blood on tits is the least loveiest thing ever (at least for me)

Madoka Magica's spinoffs aren't that bad.

...though I've only read the first two and now that the series has an entire loving magazine to itself, there's a stuffton more coming that will probably never get translated because I think everyone is sick of Madoka at this point.
