Overhyped or not, it doesn't change the quality of the show. I'd suggest watch it, but save your ears from the dubbed version. ;-;

yeah and the quality of the show is nothing more than "ok"

mikasa is a terrible character, story direction was beyond predictable and cliffhangers got old by the end of episode 3.

was a fun ride but everyone was all OOOOOOOOOOOOH over it. didn't feel that much at all.

(unlike some anime like Angel Beats; you won't find a ton of people calling that a bad series)
