They don't have to say "Kill la Kill" for it to be a song about Kill la Kill. Also it's not that hard to look up lyrics.
but why would I look up the lyrics

well how am I supposed to know
I can't speak japanese
and it's not even like the singer clearly says "kill la kill" at any point
...what.
What the hell kind of logic is this? Have you never watched television or something?

the only english TV shows I watch don't say anything in their opening songs

but why would I look up the lyrics
...what the actual forget
YOU want to know if a loving song is made for an anime, but you don't want to look up the lyrics.
I'm done with this conversation.

I'm going to attempt to make sense of this sequence of quotes because I have too much time on my hands.

isn't the music in klk just regular music made by some japanese artist(s)

ok nevermind I'm at a complete loss

you gotta consider context. I meant why would I look up the lyrics in general. not right now. we were talking about why I didn't know that klk's theme was made specifically for it, not why I still don't

even disregarding that, "but why would I look up the lyrics" would still be fine. because before this conversation I would have no reason to look them up in the first place. but at this point, why would I look them up, since people have already said the song was made for it?
ok nevermind I'm at a complete loss
how?? everyone else seems to know what I meant by that

I found my new favourite anime of all time...

boku no pico, obviously

So I just finished Psycho-Pass
Can't wait for season 2

how?? everyone else seems to know what I meant by that

because insert songs are almost always meant specifically for the series they appear in, there's several exceptions but usually not for series that have come out in the past 10 years.

Because it's such an unbelievably stupid sentence that I can't comprehend it.
What the forget does "just regular music" even mean?
It doesn't matter if he was referring to insert songs or the score, both are easily recognizable to someone who knows what they sound like.
I don't get what is hard for you to understand. everyone else understood
like, sure, it wasn't the best way to word it. but even if you can't understand it for some reason, you could just read the posts other people made about it. since I didn't correct them, it could easily be determined that their assumptions were right

uh
well
I'm talking about a song created specifically for a show, versus a song made for unrelated reasons that the creators of the show used
a score would be made specifically for a show or movie or something. but idk what an insert song is

Night Fox getting in useless arguments with a comical overemphasis on word denotation versus connotation

what a surprise

Night Fox getting in useless arguments with a comical overemphasis on word denotation versus connotation
what
it's not about the words
the words used have very little to do with this entire conversation

except I guess with what chex has been saying the last few posts? but that's still not really about the words. like I'm not trying to criticize the fact that he said "score" or "insert song" or anything, in that last couple of sentences, I guess I'm just trying to figure out what he meant
uhh. what I'm saying is, I'm not placing any kind of emphasis on word choice

I think you're seeing some hostility that isn't there
