loving watch eureka seven
I stopped around episode 20, couldn't stand the crybaby main character and lack of action. Is it worth continuing?

Renton isn't even a bad MC though.

Eureka 7 is definitely a great anime. Just wish it had more LFO fights or lifting.

I started then I was like "OMG WAIT" and went and did something else.
I'll try it again sometime.
You haven't watched Code Geass? I'm writing a paper on it for school.
I've watched most of Code Geass, I really can't explain why but I didn't really care for it. Maybe it's just because my friend loves it and I like telling him how stuff it is.
i havent watched evangelion yet either lel
Tokyo Ghoul √A (Although you didn't hear it from me...)
Parasyte
Death Billiards/Death Parade
Been meaning to watch Death Billiards for some time, how is it? I enjoyed the original Tokyo Ghoul so I'll probably check it out despite some *cough* mixed reviews.

character development is the entire point of the series

if you're used to shallow-ass series where the main character is always OP and can solve everything immediately then it's probably not for you

Death Billiards (and Parade) is really good, and it doesn't take that long to watch (well not for me :P)

Also yeah, √A wasn't great, but I really enjoyed it.

Understandable, I just don't care for shows with immature and idiotic main characters. I thought Renton might toughen and wise up a bit but he never did (or it was just taking far too long).

He's a 14 year old boy, not some unstoppable bad-ass. I know you're a fan of SAO and other chuuni power fantasy bullstuff, but you got to realize that 14 year old boys are, in fact, not super heroes. Renton is an idiot because kids are idiots. Kirito is an OP superhuman because SAO is a power fantasy.

I prefer characters that start out weak (both physically and sometimes emotionally) that get stronger over time

I'm sure it's a great show, just not my cup of tea.
