I came across some people who really loved Attack on Titan but the show seems to be quite polarizing to me. A lot of people hate it as well? I read the synopsis but isn't terribly interesting to me, any reason I should watch it?

I liked it
It's not anime of all time as some people claim though

thank you jairo for making me realize shimoneta exists

what a happy, family friendly funny show 3 episodes in

attack on titan and previously sword art online has this thing where it's just wildly popular and there's just people who absoloutely dispise it. like to the point where's there's some times when you cant really tell whose more annoying, the people who love it or the people who blow up and tell everybody how much it sucks..

kind of sucks too because you could be like "yeah i liked like half of sword art online" and people will be like "SWORD ART ONLINE IS THE WORST ANIME EVER HERE'S ALL THE REASONS WHY" like 'ok. thanks for your input captain jackass. go somewhere else'

Polar Bear's Cafe is cute,

definitely not worth watching all 50 episodes, but it's enjoyable.

It's okay. I prefer the manga because the pace of the anime is wonky and the manga goes way further than the anime.

It's a pretty good anime in general.

It's just that the manga is such a chore to read because it's just curveball after twist so you'd be at a loss as to what the author is trying to accomplish.

attack on titan was predictable, relied heavily on shock value, and had either unlikable (eren) or very shallow (mikasa) characters

still more entertaining than SAO's bullied middle schooler powertrip fantasy pandering bullstuff
