tablets and resourcefulness go hand in hand, i agree.

I'm pretty bad at drawing on a tablet ATM. I don't have very good drawing software, either. :( on paper though, i'd say i'm pretty good.

i have a nice tablet, though. A wacom. It was actually my sisters but she doesn't do digital art anymore, so I inherited it. I came with corel painter or something but i can't figure out how to use it for the life of me.

HA my mom uses corel
corel is terrible
I use photoshop like any sane person, but I hear good things about paint tool sai, it's free as far as I know

SAI is pretty cool, haven't used it much....It's good as far as free things go...

Almost everyone i know uses it.

SAI is not free.
It has a 31-day trial, and then you have to pay, like 50,000 yen or so.
Not sure what the actual price was, but it's around that.

I've had it longer than 30 days

Yeah, I think the trial might be borked on the english translation, I dunno.

needs more pony hatchery

looks great, though I personally can't stand photoshop (gah the unresizeability!) except for some features and use adobe illustrator instead.

On another note, have you used a Kanvus tablet? I can't decide between that and Wacom

I think I have a Bamboo tablet from one of our exchange students. I'll look into finding it, that might still work/be interesting/actually get me somewhere with art.

Don't get a bamboo, they suck stuff. Commercial tablets are bad for art.
