It's like a jigsaw puzzle, but if you're not comfortable doing it, that's fine.
Good choice.
I tried building a similar computer with newegg and it cost more :/

Impossible, sorry.
You've got to know where to look.
Building one yourself is typically 50% cheaper.

If you get an AMD processor and build it yourself, just know that the heatsink clamps are designed for robots with hydraulic arms, and you have to push really hard on them to lock the heatsink in place.

My old heatsink used clamps and it wasn't really hard.
My new heatsink uses screws.

I've never had any problems with AMD builds, and I've built probably ~20 to 30 of them from scratch.

I have a basic gaming computer than costed a few hundred.
It runs games fine. It's pretty fast.
Some people are buying some over priced electro-toaster powered icecream cooled potato chippers with added graphics or whatever the hell they are and run games more or less the same. It makes no sense.

there's no nice way to say this but your "pretty fast" computer is stuff compared to our "over priced electro-toaster powered icecream cooled potato chippers with added graphics"

Running games at 640x480 on ultra low at 12 fps does not count as running games fine.
