My father, being the working, farmer kind of guy, he isn't very fond of technology.
Online banking for him is utter hell.
He doesn't understand Google.
He thinks computers are an utter waste of time.
Well, on my little Xmas list, I was putting a bunch of techy gadgets that I could use to make my computer a little loveier, however, he seen it, and instantly went into his "srs mode", and started to lecture to me that I shouldn't waste my hard earned money on gadgets and trinkets, like he's told me before.
I said, "Well, thats why I put it on my christmas list, so I don't spend anything on it."
He just said in return, "You know I've told you not to buy anything, like that Battlefield game, you still haven't given me the money that was charged to my card"
"That's because you never brought it up to me, and have yet to show me how much it cost on your bill."
"That's not the point, you should save your money for a car or something."
By then, he walks off doing his own diddly doodly thing.
Seriously? A car? He damn well knows I don't have a stable enough job to save up a significant amount of money for a loving car. Plus, no cars here are being sold for less for $10,000 used, because everyone likes to sell them a year after buying a car here in Canada.
Seriously, I can spend my money on what I want, not what you tell me to buy.
If you're buying me something, go ahead, you have full choice over what it is.
Thing is, I don't even need a loving car. I can take the loving bus to school until I'm done with grade 12, then I can just borrow my mom's SUV.
