Minecraft Question - How to find some diamond?

I've dug well below the 22nd level and am still trying to find some diamond. Help please?

Diamond level is between 0-14 level. Which is to the bottom of the minecraft world (bedrock) to 14 blocks up. Between that level, there is a possibility of finding diamonds.

I'll explore around that area. Looks like I dug too far because i'm in a cavern with some lava pools. (I have a custom seed that makes it generate 32 levels) So I will proceed to go back up and dig around there.

i think diamonds tend to spawn near lava pools as theres more surface area or something

I thought it was 0-16?
Unless a update changed it.


Oh and if you have found redstone, diamond spawns on that level. Just like 1/8th more rarer.

Branch mining is inefficient.
Grab a potion of swiftness and do the 50-mile-long-straight-strip-mine-trick

There's just 1 diamond vein per chunk, and I'd rather mine 3 chunks for a little then 1 chunk entirely.
