Author Topic: Little things that people do that make it seem like the community isn't as bad.  (Read 3114 times)

Post about people doing nice things. I don't think we do nearly enough of this. This thread is for the little things people do that make (your day/the Forums/the internet/the world) a better place that aren't quite big enough to deserve their own thread.

I started this thread because I beleived Trogtor deserved kudos for this post.

ambiguous title, and very misleading I was expecting some snake jokes or dramaing someone for having a small snake.

Your expectations are compensating for something.

I know it's kind of an anti-drama, but knowing Ephi and Badspot they'll probably move it.

what happened today isn't a good thing and shouldn't be thought of as a good thing.

I guess it's nice though that people appreciate the person who helped mend the situation.

No, it was not a good thing. After today, some people need their internet revoked. This was disgraceful and I hope we learn from it.

Does anyone else think this is ambiguous or misleading? I want to be sure.

To be honest, this literally was the only time we solved something without doing bad things.

Yeah it kinda is :s

It needs to happen more often. The stage is set, I think.

Well if it's moved to off-topic like Mega-bear says I'll be able to change it.

Not really misleading, people say "It's the little things" a lot to talk about small things that are good/make you feel good.

Also, regarding the fact that the kid has autism, not everyone knew he had autism, and didn't know who he was, so I don't really see how you can blame them (me included). Most of them stopped after they learned he had autism.

Sorry to say but it's not.

Another really good example of one of those rare times where the community acts humane and sensitive was the thread, "Burp! Happenings and Banter" and everybody preached that after that day suddenly the attitude on the forums would take a turn, but it didn't.

They didn't have to. There is no excuse to sigh someone you don't know up for research. None.
