Have you tried trouble shooting anything?

Did you plug the speakers into the right jack? I plugged my speakers into my mic jack once. If not then it may be a sound card or the jack is screwed.

In your control panel, is your speakers on?

I'll look now but I doubt I'll find anything.

Do you have the latest drivers installed?
Do you have drivers for your sound card installed? Provided that they are standard audio plugs and not USB.

-unmute
-turn sound up
-???
-Profit?

Nop. I can hear static, but there is no sound from the computer coming out of the speakers.

I don't know if I have the same problem. Can you hear anything at all from your speaker?

I used to have these speakers that would only play part of the music, which you could hear well, but you could barely hear anything else. That is, unless you jiggled the wire around in the volume jack, then it you could hear everything perfectly.

Is that your same problem? If not, then I don't know. If it is, then just get new speakers. That's what I did, and now it works fine.

By the way, putting "help me" in the title isn't going to do you any favors.

I can hear static, as if there is no sounds coming from the computer, but the volume works.
Like if you stop your youtube video, which was the only thing on the computer making noise, it goes static quiet. But there is no sound emitted from the computer to the speakers, the speakers is just static.

Weird. Well, I don't know how to fix it, sorry. But if you want to hear sound quick, I'd just go get new speakers.

I think my dad may have done something to the sound card or the program with the speakers..

I have speakers on my HP screen, the option to use them got removed from the speaker list, so how do I add them back so I can enable them and try with them?
