Author Topic: Halo: CE Anniversary multiplayer rage  (Read 783 times)

I deeply despise how they literally just slapped the halo Reach multiplayer in Anniversary. I click on the multiplayer button and I'm seeing the Reach loading screen, and first thoughts were "are you loving KIDDING me?" the one single thing different in the entire multiplayer section was the maps.

Total let down. Everything else was coolbro though, so that was nice!

Discuss your hatred of this, or your love for laziness.

(I don't care if there was already a topic for this. Peel with it bro.)

It's funny because you blatantly disregarded all the developers saying its maps for Halo Reach.

its funny, because I knew that. It's not the maps I'm complaining about, its the fact they they decided it was good enough to slap the Reach everything on there instead of being creative and making something different, as in having that classic Halo multiplayer, I.E. taking out the armour abilities and using the weapons that were in the campaign instead of the Reach ones.

I knew they were gonna use the Reach engine, but i was disappointed that they didn't even include the Halo Reach remake of Blood Gulch, that map is like, the fan favorite of the games, they really should have just completely redid the Halo multiplayer like they did with the campaign, i love how they redesigned the Mark V armor without straying too far from the original design, i like how they kept the 'cease fire' stance by looking up/down, it is just so much like the original game, they could have also made the 'change visuals mode' campaign only

343 Studios did great with the campaign, but they got lazy with the multiplayer, IMO

Making a brand new multiplayer for a remake of Halo CE would be the worst idea ever. It would be a waste of time and talent. The maps do justice for multiplayer since we get to nostalgia on the loveiness of CE in gorgeous 2011 graphics.

But what happens when you beat the campaign? You can't just beat the campaign over and over to enjoy Halo then and now, that's what multiplayer is for, but if you can only play on 6 maps, 7 counting the one Firefight map, it starts to get a bit repetitive after a while

Also, me and my brother found the Siege of Madrigal easter egg, and of course it's in the same spot as it was in Halo, but i just wanted to say that now i can't decided whether i like the original or remastered version...

The $40 price tag wasn't in the fact it was an Anniversary Edition. If anything, it'd be worth more for that, since they upgraded all the graphics and then overlapped it with the old engine. The lower than normal initial price tag was to say that multiplayer wouldn't be much to at all different from Reach.

?

Your head doesn't look down with your arms. Look up the original Red vs. Blue episodes.

?

Look all the way down with any weapon, and to everyone but yourself, you'll have your gun down and your head facing forward

That only worked in the first game and this remastered version, all other Halo games have one button or a combination of buttons
