A Call of Duty 4 Problem

So apparently I got COD4 and sp is fine and all but when I play MP or even try to its been crashing without reaching to the menu and I've looked everywhere and I found nothing to fix it so please help me.
And I have 1 mic and I need it for this pc and cannot transfer it.
