Author Topic: Server status updates  (Read 460 times)

Basically i thought this up when i was having trouble with my dedicated server, a few weeks ago when i went out. I shall be buying another soon so i thought this would be a good tool to have. so here is how it works. you have an email showing updates on the server, sent to you. With preferences, so we could choose the intervals between each email, as well as what to show updates on, such as brick count, player count, online/offline... etc.

By doing this we could know exactly how are dedicated servers are doing while we are out and about, IF we have are email set up on our mobile(cell)phones.

No, because you would set how often an email gets sent.

I could make one in PHP...

edit: nvm that would be spam.

Well... Is it possible or not?

It sounds possible. Maybe it would only send an email if certain conditions were met, like the server reached a certain brickcount or something.

Plan:

-Every Week The server emails you this:
    -New Bans
    -Brick Count
    -New Admin (maybe)
    -Server Pref Changes

A week seems a bit long, unless there is a way we could have an email sent on request but if not i found out another way of doing it. Well this is what i have been doing, going to this link via internet on my phone http://blockland.zack0wack0.com/server-status.php?h=eZio and then it shows this , The great thing is all i have to do is refresh the page.

1.) Download Server_RemoteControl
2.) Go to the webpage for your server
3.) ???
4.) Profit.
