im going to be recieving audio from an audio interface, so if its a quarter inch jack, im ok with that.

I'm assuming you're using some sort of dedicated hardware for this, so you don't need an amp in most cases. I love audiotechnicas, they're my choice for under $300 monitors, but you should really research and figure out what /you/ need.
