if you just want to change the color of the one you just made, that can easily be done with Photoshop. I'm sure it can also be done with GIMP, but if you can't figure it out, I can do it for you. I can then try to figure out some way to get the framerate back up to normal.

nope. it only gives you the option to define how much time there is in between frames during creation of the GIF, rather than during exporting. I always set that value to absolute 0.

That's silly.
I have only played around with the trial of Photoshop, but from my experience they were almost exactly the same other than the different GUI. I found that GIMP had more options and was more user friendly too, but that's just my opinion.
