Blockland EDM Mass-Collab
(named by railyx, idea by me)

The basic gist of this is to have one .flp project passed between various EDM producers of the blockland community. Each producer adds on 32 measures worth of music, then passes it on to the next person in a specified order.

This "event" is targeted towards Fl Studio, since I'm pretty sure that's what most people around here are using. If you do not own FL Studio, pattern stems will be rendered for you.

Rules:
  • Participants must retain to the selected genre, key, and BPM.
  • Each person may only place patterns within their designated section of 32 measures.
  • Each person may only use their own instruments, patterns, and automation clips.

Exceptions:
  • You may (professionally) transition into another BPM, genre, or key.

sorry lol

Not necessarily. If someone who does not use FL Studio wants to participate, we can toss stems back and forth. A little more tedious but not too difficult.

okay that's cool, i'll go ahead and add that to the post

Hm.
I still haven't gotten the full version, can't open anything yet.
However, I have saved the FLP for pretty much everything, so if anyone wants to play with anything I've made, alert me.

Anyway, I am still going to buy the full version, just haven't asdfasdfasdf

K, here are a couple other things.

1. Not everybody has the same version of FL Studio. I personally use 10.0.8 for producing. From what I've seen, there isn't much difference between 10.0.8 and 10.0.9, so projects that go back and forth between those two versions shouldn't have problems. However, a project made in one of the betas (which are only accessible if you've bought the software) will not work in a non-beta. Luckily I don't think we have anyone here that uses any of the betas lol.

2. Not everybody has the same VSTs. I mainly use Massive, Nexus, Sylenth1, Harmless, and Harmor for my VSTs. Only two of those are default; Harmless and Harmor.

I HIGHLY suggest we make a Skype chat group for this. If you have Skype, add Kingdaro and myself, if you haven't already; Kingdaro is "kingdarobl" and I am "kyzorix" on Skype. Once everybody who wants to participate has added us, I'll create a Skype group.

Oh okay so apparently Madeon's "The City" EP was released worldwide yesterday and I totally didn't know about it.

So here it is.
